University Department of Information and Communication Technology, UDICT, MGM university organized an “Online webinar on How AI, ML & Data Science is changing technology landscape” on 8 July, 2022.

The objective of the workshop was to aware about how Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) & Data science have taken the world by storm, solutions powered by AI and ML and Data Science are fast penetrating into many aspects of lives and to get a better understanding of how this emerging technologies have enormous scope in various sectors like industries, transport, health and medicine and research.

A total of 53 entries were received for this workshop across the country. A total of 35 participants including students and faculty members attended the workshop. The mode of session delivery was Microsoft Teams.

Inaugural Session:-

The workshop started at 11.00 am, Dr. Sharvari Tamane, HOD of UDICT and Coordinator of the workshop gave brief introduction about the speaker and the objectives of the workshop.

Keynote Address: Dr. Prashant R.Nair

The speaker of the webinar, Dr. Prashant R.Nair, Vice chairman IQAC & Associate Professor at department of computer science and engineering, Amrita vishwa vidyapeeth, Coimbatore delivered an expert talk on “How AI, ML and data science is changing technology landscape”. He has given detailed explanation about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, data science and how it is changing the current technology landscape with some real time applications. A brilliant explanation was given by Dr. Prashant Nair to throw some light on the subject.

The outcome of this workshop is that students and faculty gained knowledge about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science and its applications in various industries and how it is changing the world for a better tomorrow.
