“DEEKSHARAMBH” : Induction Programme

On the first day of the program, students are introduced to all the department faculties and laboratories. Dr. S. C. Tamane, Head of the Department provided an overview of the vision and mission of MGM University, as well as the vision and mission of the department. Mr. Ansari Sir introduced the various institutes under MGM University and highlighted facilities such as the IIRC. Additionally, he discussed the various annual activities organized for students at MGM, including the Youth Conclave, social initiatives, and sports competitions.


On the second day of the induction program, an online motivational session titled “Engineering Yourself for Success” was conducted by Mr. Athar Faheem, a certified life coach from Canada. He highlighted the importance of developing essential skills during the engineering journey, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication. Mr. Faheem also emphasized the value of engaging in internships, working on projects, and building a strong network to ensure a successful career.

On Day 3, Dr. B. M. Wagh conducted a session on "Learning from Mahatma Gandhi," focusing on Gandhian thoughts. This session was highly valuable for students, as Dr. Wagh detailed Mahatma Gandhi's entire life, his core values, his simplicity, and how these principles can be incorporated into their own lives. He also highlighted Gandhi's sacrifices for the country and much more.

On Day 4, the Training and Placement Officer, Dr. Parminder Kaur, led an orientation session on "Campus Placements," emphasizing the skills needed for successful selection in companies. She emphasized not only technical skills, such as coding abilities, proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++, and preparation for technical interviews and aptitude tests, but also highlighted the importance of attributes like teamwork, adaptability, and leadership.

The day began with an NSS session conducted by Mr. Santosh Garje, a renowned social worker dedicated to supporting orphaned children. He shared his lifelong commitment to this cause and the deep satisfaction he now feels. The students were inspired by his work and expressed their commitment to supporting his NSS initiatives in their upcoming academic years.

The final day of the program commenced with a compelling session on Mental Health, conducted by Dr. Amruta Magar. She provided valuable insights into the importance of maintaining mental well-being, especially in the context of academic and personal pressures. Her session included practical advice on managing stress, recognizing signs of mental health issues, and strategies for seeking support. Ms. Magar's engaging presentation aimed to equip students with the tools and knowledge to prioritize their mental health and foster a supportive environment among peers.

At the end of the day, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Minakshi Rajput, the Induction Programme Coordinator. The hard work and dedication of the coordinators, faculty members, and staff who played pivotal roles in organizing and executing the various sessions throughout the program. The students actively participated and enthusiasm, which significantly contributed to the program's success.

The induction program "Diksharambh" concluded with a high tea and refreshments for the students. The event ended on a memorable note, filled with cherished moments, new promises, and a sense of excitement for the future.
