MGMU’s University Department of Information and Communication Technology had organized the trekking event to Kalsubai in collaboration with the MGMU Sports Department. It was the 1st time in MGMU history that a trek event with 100 students from one department was being organized. Dr. Shashikant Singh from sports, Mr. J. S. Dhage, Mr. M. K. Jadhav, Ms. Jyoti Ighare, Ms. Aditi Jadhav were handed the event responsibility as faculty coordinators. Shri. A. N.Kadam, Mr. Mohsin Ansari, Dr. Rekha Shelke, Dr. S. C. Tamane were present for the Flag Off in MGMU Campus.
We started our journey on 18 August 2023 (Friday) night at 7:30 PM from MGM University Campus, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) by boarding at 08:00 pm with two private traveling buses which we hired for taking us to Bari Village, the base for the Kalsubai trek. We took 6 Jars of drinking water, safety kits, 2 First aid kits with us in the bus and all 100 students along with 5 faculties were covered with Insurance for safety precautions. While traveling in the night our students enjoyed the tour by singing songs, listening to music, and playing antakshari in groups.
