Parents Teachers Meet at University Department of Information and Communication Technology was held on March 16, 2024 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm At Aryabhatta Hall, in MGM University Campus


The Parents Teachers Meet commenced with a warm welcome extended to parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, and esteemed guests by Mr. M. K. Jadhav, who anchored the event. Prof. Dr. Sharvari Tamane, the Head of the Department, initiated the proceedings with a comprehensive slideshow presentation, covering curriculum details, as well as curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities undertaken by the department. Notable professional, academic, and research achievements of both staff and students were highlighted, setting a positive tone for the discussions to follow.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to an engaging discussion among parents, students, and teachers regarding the doubts, benefits, and important features of the National Education Policy 2020, particularly its implications for the current B.Tech. First Year students’ batch. Mr. Mohsin Ansari shared insights on the current expectations from students for better campus placements, emphasizing the importance of aligning academic pursuits with industry demands.

Ms. Vrushali Beedkar concluded the session with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the participation and contributions of all attendees. Valuable feedback and suggestions were gathered by Ms. Swati Gupta from the parents, facilitating ongoing improvements within the department. To conclude the event on a convivial note, small refreshments comprising snacks and tea were provided, allowing parents and teachers to further engage in discussions with subject staff about the progress of their wards. Overall, the Parents Teachers Meet served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, reaffirming the commitment of the University Department of Information and Communication Technology to the holistic development and success of its students.
